A la fois art et moyen de communication, le dessin est maîtrisé depuis plus de 67 000 ans par les hommes, alors qu’ils ne savent écrire que depuis 5 500 ans. Les enfants aussi souvent dessinent avant même de savoir parler. Les premiers croquisont été réalisés par les Romains. Par la suite, c’est durant la Renaissance que cet art a été révolutionné. Au XVIIe siècle, les artistes contemporains Rembrandtet Poussin ont apporté modernisation et nouvelle vision. Autrefois appelé artiste contemporain, aujourd’hui le dessinateurs’exprime dans les bandes-dessinées, mangas, illustrations, dessins de presse…
