Un des sept arts, la peinture fait penser de facto aux tableaux exposés dans les plus prestigieux musées, à l’instar de la Joconde de Léonard de Vinci. Or, elle est une forme d’art intemporelle qui a su remarquablement traverser les époques, aussi bien avant Jésus-Christ que la Préhistoire, l’Antiquité, le Moyen-Âge ou la Renaissance. Si être peintre n’avait rien de gratifiant, aujourd’hui sa démocratisation a fait des petits peintres de l’ombre des artistesprotagonistes de la société. Peinture à l’huile, acrylique, aquarelle, pastelle ou technique mixte, la peinture subjugue sous toutes ses formes.

Peinture à l'huile
La Peinture à l'huile est une technique de peintres bien connue depuis des artistes du XIXe et XXe siècle. Pourtant, cette technique remonterait à la fin de Moyen-âge, remplaçant peu à peu la tempora, qui consistait alors à une émulsion de jaune d’œuf et de blanc d’œuf ainsi que de pigments colorés.
Sa consistance était assez proche de la peinture à l’huile bien que celle-ci lui fut préférée par la suite pour des raisons de praticité.
Si la Peinture à l'huile est plébiscitée, c’est parce qu’elle est une peinture noble, riche, brillante et onctueuse, particulièrement agréable à travailler pour le peintre.
